Fr Maria, originally from India, worked in the Northampton Diocese in 2022-2023 and joined St Michael’s in September 2023.
Fr. Mariaselvan Alexander (Maria) MSFS
Fr. Mariaselvan Alexander originally from Tamil Nadu, the southernmost part of India belongs to the order of the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales. Having completed his priestly formation in India (Philosophy in Suvidya College Bangalore and Theology in Vijnananilayam, Eluru) he was ordained a priest on the 19th of April 2007.
After his ordination to priesthood he served in a couple of parishes as parish priest and as bursar of the minor seminary in Tamil Nadu and Suvidya College (Inter-Province Philosophate belonging to the MSFS congregation) Bangalore. He holds a MA in English Literature and MSc in Psychology. He opted to come to England for his pastoral ministry in 2021 and spent two years working in the Cluster of Parishes in Milton Keynes within the Diocese of Northampton.
